It All Started With a Kid and an Old Wagon
Before he could even drive, David Glover pulled his lawnmower from house to house on a little red wagon, cutting grass, earning customers and immersing himself in the rhythms of grass growth and lawncare . It may have been a humble start, but it wasn’t long before he bought his first car in cash with the income from those mowing jobs.
An Atypical Trajectory
As a young man, David tried a brief detour into other lines of business – pushing cosmetics and makeovers at Neiman Marcus, if you can believe it. But in 1984, he went back to his roots, launching Northwest Lawn in Oklahoma City.
More than 40 years later, our little company has grown into 15 teams, dozens of dedicated employees and the next generation of leadership, as David’s son Travis prepares to – someday – take over the business.
We may have expanded, added services and found better ways to serve more of our neighbors, but a few things at Northwest Lawn have never changed and never will change:
